Summer is coming to an end 8/23/10

This summer was Great! Party Animals did really well. We had about 30 parties just last weekend. Business is definitely not slowing down. I wonder how many parties I can realistically take on over the course of week. I’ve decided to change some of the prices of our packages due to the increased amount of parties being booked and the fact that a lot of people that rent costumes from me want me to deliver their costume from them and/or pick it up. I put about 40,000 miles on my 2010 Toyota Prius in one year because I will drive any where to do a party because I love what I do. That is a lot of miles though, and I don’t want to put 40k on my car every year. In my opinion, I have the best job in the world. Yesterday, I did a four character party for a dodger baseball player by the name of Rafael Furcal. It was he son’s second birthday. I’m not that big of a baseball fan but I looked up some information on him, and he makes $10 million a year and was rookie of the year. I’ve done many parties for movie producers and actors and actresses. I did an event a couple of months ago for the Michelle Obama stop Childhood Obesity Event where Master P and Lil Romeo were performing. That was a pretty cool event. I also did another party a couple of weeks ago that had an insane amount of entertainment just for a birthday party. This party had a bounce house, obstacle bounce, slide bounce, petting zoo, snow cone machine, cotton candy machine, grill cart, bungee jumping contraption, and me doing balloon animals and face painting. That party felt like a small fair. I thought about investing in a few bounce houses but they are quite expensive for commercial grade ones and I heard in the news the other day that certain ones may contain lead which is not good. The lead thing doesn’t surprise me though. It is rather difficult and challenging to juggle a new house purchase, a new baby, school, and a busy Party Animals. I never seem to be able to relax. I constantly keep myself busy.
